ALMERIA

Almeria is de grootste stad in het Zuidoosten van Andalusië, dat aan de Middellandse zee ligt.

Minder mooi dan de omringende hoofdsteden van Andalusië.
Dit is de streek met de meeste zon uren van Europa.

Omgeven door eindeloze kassen, waar tomaten en andere groente word verbouwd.

Oude stadscentrum is mooi. hebben een prachtig pleintje, misschien wel het mooiste van heel Andalusië, Plaza Vieja.

Ons hotel, modern en oud, was heel prettig en ligt hieraan, Hotel Plaza Vieja.

Uitzicht op de Alcazaba en San Christobal.

Prachtig en romantisch.

Liggen ook nog Arabische baden naast in het hotel,

Een geweldige tapabar Bahia de la Pluma, om de hoek
Als uitstapje, de enige desert van Europa bij Tabernas. (zie ook Mini Hollywood/ Spaghetti westerns)
een aanrader, evenals Guadix (dichtbij Granada).

VICTOR'S BEACH - MARBELLA

Een van onze favoriete chiringuitos (strandbar)  is Victor’s Beach, iets buiten Marbella. Aan het strand Playa del Arcon. De afslag naar het strand is ter hoogte van de moskee Rey Abdul Aziz, aan de doorgaande weg die Puerto Banus met Marbella verbindt. De locatie is duidelijk herkenbaar aan de blauwe potten voor de ingang. Ook aan de strandzijde is blauw de dominante kleur. Hier lunch je  met verse vis en knapperige salades. Het is sinds 1979 in handen van dezelfde familie. De sfeer is authentiek en gastvrij. Na de lunch kan je neerploffen op de strandbedden aan de waterkant.

Hoe er te komen? Een adres is er niet. Volg de N340, de ingang is ter hoogte van km 177.

BALCON D' EUROPA - NERJA

Balcon d' Europa is een van onze favoriete plekken aan de kust.
ligt in het toeristische maar sfeervolle stad Nerja.

Spectaculaire rotskust met leuke zandstrandjes er tussen.
Prachtig uitzicht vanaf hoofdplein met de kerk.
Na 50 traptreden naar het strand ligt het sympathieke restaurant El Papagayo.

BEREBERE BEACHCLUB - TORRE DEL MAR

Berebere is één van de leukste beachclub bij de vuurtoren van Torre del Mar.
Bedjes liggen direct aan zee. Goede Spaanse keuken,
maar ook Marokkaanse en Mexicaanse gerechten.
Leuke hippie-achtig winkeltje met vrolijke sjaals, kleren en kettingen.
